Some people consider that students are just following the crowd blindly to get a MBA degree. While others think that it is important for an individual to do MBA to grab the best opportunities after graduation. Ultimately, I feel that a management program is good if you have the right aptitude and ability to do it.
Most of the students who are from science stream especially engineers or from commerce enrol for a MBA degree. They are the victims of sheep syndrome. They don’t want to apply their mind and analyse what they actually want to do in life. Furthermore, some people engage themselves in MBA just for the reason that these institutions will end up giving them highly paid jobs. They don’t even find it significant whether they have the capabilities of getting into that profession or not.
However, I don’t admit that these arguments end up to an analysis. To begin, I think one can make his career in MBA considering that it is a vast program which concentrates on grooming of various professional and personal attributes. It enriches a student with the required tools to achieve his targets in life. Moreover, I would definitely say that many people go for MBA due to the lack of job opportunities after under graduation.
To conclude, I would say that MBA is an over rated program. But if you can assess your potential and have clarity regarding your goals then MBA would surely polish your skills and will lead you to the path of success.
